V4.97.00

With the advent of PPC '03, many things broke. With luck, this'll take care of it. If not, there's always tomorrow!

11-1-02

V4.96.22

Zounds! Progress! After too much slumber, StarLyt has finally gained a registration mechanism. Go to StarTap Properties / About. Press the Register button, follow the instructions, and you should be all set.

10-1-02

V4.96.21

Updated for now, but there really will be a registerable version in a day or two. Really!

9-2-02

V4.96.21

Ready.

7-25-02

V4.96.21

Thanks to a major disaster that returned everything to its pre-June state, we get an early update this month. Whadaya know.

6-28-02

V4.96.21

Two days early. A minor miracle.

5-31-02

V4.96.21

Yes, finally.

5-01-02

V4.96.21

Better late than never.

3-31-02

V4.96.21

Ditto!

2-28-02

V4.96.21

(sigh) Updated.

1-31-02

V4.96.21

OK, ok, but it's getting very close to a meaningful change. You'll find a StarSel.exe program in the StarTap directory, that will selectively remove components of StarTap. This month should see GgiaBar V1.91 out the door, and then we can get back and finish StarLyt.

12-31-01

V4.96.21

Updated again. This time around, though it can't be registered by itself (soon!), it will recognize a valid iPAQ CD registration. You can install StarLyt over what you have, and it should run fine.

11-30-01

V4.96.21

Yes, another month just by the skin of the teeth. It's been updated.

11-1-01

V4.96.21

Jeez! Sorry! If the folks at Compaq will give a little respite on the iTask stuff, maybe we can actually make some progress on this thing! For the month anyway, it's updated.

9-30-01

V4.96.21

With luck, the download should be properly updated.

8-31-01

V4.96.21

Sigh. Even we grow tired of lving month to month! This version is good for another month, and does seem to take care of the broken skin problem.

7-31-01

V4.96.20

Well, the good news is that it exists and won't expire immediately. The bad news is that the skins are temporarily broken. Sorry! That should be taken care of soon. Anyway, get the download, and tell us what else is wrong!

6-29-01

V4.96.19

Back on the beta!

6-3-01

V4.96.14

Many little things: Folder Icons, Task Properties, and more.

5-31-01

V4.96.13

How embarassing to have StarLyt curl up and die when asked to take out the trash!

5-31-01

V4.96.12

Bug fixes, and this version doesn't expire tomorrow!

5-22-01

V4.96.11

A new member of the Lyt family: LytBox, and little fixes.

5-17-01

V4.96.10

Little things. See the Release Notes.

5-16-01

V4.96.09

Many small fixes, and, on the Pocket PC, StarLyt can now share space with Today Screen PlugIns, as illustrated in the Screen Shot (with StickyCalc).

5-11-01

V4.96.08

Whoops! This fixes a major memory leak in LytBar.

5-10-01

V4.96.07

New menus for LytBar. Again, you've gotta see the Screen Shot!

5-7-01

V4.96.06

Ready for Skins, Themes, and Image Thumbnails. You must see the updated Screen Shot!

5-3-01

V4.96.05

Whoops! Some resources got left out of the MIPS and SH3 builds.

V4.96.04

It took a few days, but there's lots new! See the Release Notes.

4-29-01

V4.96.03

If StarLyt has not imported your old StarTap shorcuts correctly, please try again! See the Release Notes.

4-28-01

V4.96.02

With this, and probably all of the beta releases, if you want to save your menu arrangement, be sure to save it as a Scheme, with some name other than Default. Then you can reload it after installing.

On the other hand, this version makes a couple of changes to the left (Desk) menu, so you may want to keep the new arrangement.

For other changes, see the Release Notes.

4-27-01

Finally! First day of public beta! V4.96.01

You should always find the current version number right here. Any helpful hints on how the programs are supposed to behave will probably appear in Release Notes.

Contrarywise, notes on how they're currently misbehaving will probably be in Known Issues.

Questions, comments, etc., of course, go on the Message Board.
